Went on a weekday, plenty of parking space. Nice collections of arts from all over Malaysia. Will definitely come over again to pass time. Agree with some comments that said NAG to consider having some cafes or coffee shops to attract more visitors. Wheelchair friendly too. Free entry and worth the visit.

National Art Gallery (Balai Seni Negara) is one of those places that gives local artists a proper platform to showcase their work and ideas. It is not just about displaying art, but also about presenting different perspectives and initiatives that reflect the local creative scene. I tend to come here quite frequently whenever there are new installations. The vibe is something I enjoy, it feels open, thoughtful, and a bit experimental at times. Some of the pieces are quite fragile and presented in very creative ways, with a wide range of materials and resources used. It makes each visit slightly different from the last. One element that stands out is the preserved Rumah Degil within the compound. Having an actual structure like that placed within the space adds another layer to the experience, connecting architecture, culture, and storytelling in a more tangible way. Location-wise, it sits within the city and is accessible via MRT, so getting here is quite manageable. A circular walkway as a centre piece flanked on each floors by galleries, it has a light filled pleasantatmosphere. The ground floor gallery showcases period 1970 - 89 when contemporary art began fruition. My favourite floor was the ceramics on the third floor - creative, adventurous, marvels for me. It captivated all my senses, it was really worth the trip. I'm so glad I made time to come to this gallery.

Spent there a few hours! Really liked all the different exhibitions (permanent and temporary). Especially one named Orang Timur about the 80s was ever nostalgic and nice to see! On Monday morning there were a few groups of school kids that’s were a bit loud, but other than that it was great. I would love to suggest guided tours to explore more about the art) Entrance is free. You have to leave any water or food in a separate room.

Four of us came in almost 4pm. The main entrance to the gallery was closed for renovation, so we entered via Art Hospital. The security guards were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to just parked the car right outside the hospital, at the side of the main entrance road (of course it's free). There were 3 floors of galleries, each floor has 2 different theme exhibits. The galleries are well kept and maintained. The best part for me were the memories of Malaysian entertainment and leisure, showing old TVs & radio, cassettes, magazines, concerts & movies posters, also old local products brands, etc. By the time they started to close, we rushed to view the last exhibits. There was a long table selling souvenirs at the main exit. It was an enjoyable moment for us and we may spend more time next round. We appreciate the efforts shown through all the arts displayed, the ambience and the cleanliness overall. Thank you to all, for all.
